Women have enjoyed wearing bangs for as far back as we can remember. Beginning with the 1920’s, then famous actress Louise Brooks looked stunning in bangs. Moving fast forward to the 1950’s, First Lady Mamie Eisenhower wore a rather unique type of bang that seemed to work for her. Of course we all remember Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra as well as extraordinary entertainers like Barbara Streisand and Bette Midler, and a bit later, beautiful model Kate Moss.
It actually appears as though bangs never go out of style. However, thanks to our First Lady Michele Obama, bangs have never been more fashionable than they are today.
In our video, hair stylist, Kiki Protopsaltis describes various ways to wear bangs, depending on your facial structure – and let’s not forget that bangs are particularly useful and flattering for covering up those wrinkles that are just beginning to appear on our foreheads.
There are so many different types of bangs that everyone can wear them. Find the style that suits your facial structure and be in style with bangs!
