Happy Mother's Day

Today is Mother's Day, but now that my children are grown and grandchildren are a happy part of my life, I remember back to what my mom used to say to me.  On more than one occasion I remember asking her, "Why isn't there a Children's Day?"  And mom would answer, "Every Day is Children's Day."

It's nice to be recognized, but better to have respect and love from your children every day, not just one day of the year.  However Mother's Day is a "feel-good" day, a day to show appreciation.  We buy gifts for our moms and remember all of the sacrifices she has made over the course of the year and perhaps longer.  Mom's are always happy to receive the flowers, jewelry or other gifts being bestowed upon her, but it's important to remember our mom's and what they've done for us regularly and not just on Mother's Day.

Nevertheless, to all the Mom's that are part of my life and those deserving Mom's who I have yet to meet:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
